The Human Rights Review was established in 2013 as an attempt to fill the gaps in legal research and scholarship in Pakistan. The Human Rights Review was published in collaboration with the American Bar Association – Rule of Law Initiative for five years, since then the journal has been managed and published by the Centre. The Human Rights Review is the first law journal at University College Lahore and is published annually with seven volumes published till date.
Over the years, the Human Rights has published articles on a variety of topics from counter-terrorism to torture to the rights of minorities and the right to fair trial in Pakistan. We encourage law students and practitioners in and outside of Pakistan to submit pieces that explore different problems, successes, challenges and issues within the legal framework in Pakistan.
